Kroger will reportedly pay $33,000 and provide other relief to settle a lawsuit alleging disability discrimination that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed . The lawsuit alleged that Kroger allowed one of its stock persons to work as a cashier as a reasonable accommodation for her disability. A few months after providing this reasonable accommodation, Kroger learned that the restrictions were permanent, and Kroger fired the employee upon learning this information. This alleged conduct violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. See EEOC v. Kroger Co., No. 2:14-cv-13757 (E.D. Mich.).
